Here is my first message to inaugurate my blog about travel advice.
First of all, let me introduce myself, I am Sté, I have traveled to many countries in Europe (Belgium, Holland, England, Croatia, Italy, Germany,..), in America (USA, Canada), in Asia and other Southwest Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea,…) and in Australia.
My first trip at the age of 15 to the United States and Canada was a revelation for me, it opened me up to the world. Since then, I have relentlessly practiced foreign languages (including English, German, and Chinese) and prepared my travel plans.
My longest trip to date was 18 months and during this period, I traveled as an adventurer with a so-called “backpacker” backpack, hitchhiking or carpooling (Van, Station Wagon, 4×4) living in youth hostels or wild camping, but I also traveled as a simple vacationer living in hotels, partying every night, enjoying the beach.
I created this blog to share my experiences, my favorite places, guide you in your travels, give you good advice about cities, a bit like a guide.
My experience
I started this blog as a logbook before my first WHV in Australia. Without imagining it would become a French-speaking reference. 13 years later, it is my greatest writing satisfaction.
Did you know?
Conseil Voyageur was created in March 2011, at a time when few French-speaking travel blogs existed. Today, the blog receives more than 80,000 visits/month and has helped thousands of travelers in their preparation.
I will supplement it with my previous experiences and depending on my upcoming trips.

Don’t rely on a single blog (even Conseil Voyageur) to plan a trip. Always cross-check at least 3 sources: recent blogs, forums, Google Maps. Every blogger has their biases.
