&nbsp ; I will introduce you to the main places to go on the Australian west coast north of Perth! &nbsp ;

• West coast Australia: Rottness Island

&nbsp ;

Small island located off the coast of Perth, it has all the advantages of a paradise island. You can find a very special rodent on this island, a “Quokka” if you know marsupials, you have probably heard of a wallaby which is smaller than a kangaroo, so to summarize the Quokka is smaller than the wallaby. The advantage of this small town is that there is no car traffic and you can do everything by bike! It also has very good snorkeling spots.

Small downside: it costs 100 dollars for the round trip and camping is exclusively paid! Wild camping is prohibited and there are patrols to ensure security on the island.

• West coast Australia: The Pinnacles

Located several hundred kilometers north of Perth, it will be your first stop on your journey in the North! The cost of the national park is charged per car. You can take a little tour around the park. The national park is very pretty at first glance but you quickly get tired of it! Stay 2 hours maximum and hit the road again!

• West coast Australia: Kalbarri National Park

&nbsp ;

After the Pinnacles north of Perth, this is a national park with very interesting hikes, the main features in this national park are the gorges and cliffs. This park also has a great diversity of wildflowers. It’s a nice place to relax in peace and nature!

• West Coast Australia : Shark Bay

&nbsp ;

Called Shark Bay in French, this place is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a bay that includes François Perron National Park, Coral Bay, Monkey Mia (description below), and the Shark Bay Marine Park !

o Monkey Mia

This place is known for hosting wild dolphins that are not so wild anymore because it’s more of a ritual every morning where the dolphins come to the beach to be fed by tourists ! You will see about a hundred people on the beach and dozens of people queuing to feed dolphins ! If you have never seen dolphins, it can be a very nice moment !

• Ningaloo reef

&nbsp ;

The name Ningaloo reef is often associated with whale sharks because it is here that you have the chance to swim with one of the largest cetaceans in the world ! However, you need to go at the right season which is between March and June ! I haven’t done it but it could be one of the best experiences of your life ! You can also see manta rays or dugongs (sea cows).

• Karijini National Park

&nbsp ;

For me, Karijini is the most beautiful national park in Australia with hikes of all levels, you will walk through gorges that have been formed over the ages, it also has Water Holes where you can swim right in the middle of the hike ! I highly recommend it ! By the way, the park is among the best places for hiking ! A small downside, this park is located inland. Plan at least some food and water !

• Broome

&nbsp ;

Broome is very well known for its beautiful sunset, it is also the last swimmable beach on the west coast because the further north you go, the more crocodiles are present, you can swim but at your own risk! Broome is also known for Cable Beach and its little Chinatown! One of the only towns on the west coast along with Perth to have a Chinatown!

• The Kimberley,

&nbsp ;

A region in itself, which includes magnificent wonders; however, I was unable to visit so I cannot speak about it. Do not go during the rainy season, I recommend going after May. Accessible only by 4×4.

• The Bungle Bungle / Purnululu National Park

&nbsp ;

Accessible only by 4×4, this park is composed of two parts! Each very different from the other. On one side, we have the gorges and on the other side, the beautiful mountainous landscapes. There are magnificent rock formations in this park and many visitors fly over it in small planes or helicopters!
