I am currently planning my Christmas holidays. I am looking at the different possibilities I have to organize it and also the destinations and traveling to Canada cheaply.
Cheap trip to Canada for less than 1500 euros

It’s simple to plan something, you have to look at three things:
- Transportation
- Accommodation
- Activity fees and food.
I will review these three criteria and give you an idea of how to organize a trip for less than 1500 euros.
Cheap trip to Canada: Transportation
This must be one of the biggest expenses of your trip. I simply looked on a flight comparison site to take a Paris – Montreal flight during the Christmas period.
You get a plane ticket for less than 600 euros. If you count the transfer to the plane and transport to the hotel in Montreal, let’s say you will spend 600 euros.
This method gives a clear idea of prices and budget for the flight; a 14-hour flight is not huge.
Rest assured, any comparison site will do, I did not use any particular one.
Cheap trip to Canada: Accommodation
Suppose you are traveling with 2 or 4 people; it is easier to get a reasonable price when you are an even number because you often pay a surcharge when you are odd.
There are several accommodation options in Canada, but since I chose to go in the winter season, we can rent a chalet at Côté Nord Tremblant. I chose this place because my friend recommended it and he has been there several times.
The place is located not far from Montreal, which helps reduce transport times and unpleasant surprises.
If we look at the starting price, we have an average of 160 euros per night; if we divide by two, that makes: 560 euros for 7 nights. Now remains the part of activities to do and food.
Let’s try for 4 people:
With 4 people in the same room, the room costs 203 euros for the 7-day week. If we divide by 4, it comes to 350 euros per week.
Since you live in a chalet in Canada, buying food and cooking should be the cheapest option knowing that you are at least two, the costs should be even lower. Still buy 100 euros worth for the week.
We arrive at expenses for transport, food, and accommodation:
- A trip for 4 for 1050 euros each.
- A trip for 2 for 1260 euros each.
Now the question of activities depends on your hobbies and the things you want to do, to respect the 1500 euro budget.
There are too many possible scenarios, but spending 250 or 450 euros for a week is already very generous, although with two, you have a smaller margin.
