The architecture is a representative mix of the different colonizers who have passed through the island and you will also notice their influences in the Maltese language and cuisine.
Next, the accommodation options are varied and suited to all desires. You can either have your own room, stay with other students, or be fully immersed with a host family. It is important to note that if you are under 18, you will likely have more limited choices and thus will have to stay with a host family. That said, this is far from a problem since you will have the opportunity to meet other students during classes and activities offered by your school.
Regarding schools, you can choose from about forty schools but don’t hesitate to ask for advice around you since, of course, some schools have a better reputation than others.
And finally, the activities. Thanks to the language school you enroll in, you will be able to participate in many activities with your fellow student friends. To give you a few examples among many, you can sunbathe on the beach, play sports, or visit the island in your free time. That said, if there is one particular advantage that attracts young people, it is the Maltese nightlife.
Malta is an excellent destination to learn English for many reasons, including those I mentioned above, but its main asset remains Paceville. This place is the heart of Malta’s nightlife and all language schools will let you experience the madness of Maltese nights by giving you tickets for free drinks at various nightclubs. Another positive point, prices are much lower than elsewhere in Europe and it is therefore very easy and affordable to go out in Malta!
