I was telling you that it had been 2 years since I returned from my trip around the world. Today, I am going to start a symbolic countdown even though I don’t know exactly when I will leave, but I am leaving in less than a year.
The long-awaited trip around the world
So, it has now been 16 months since I started blogging and one of the reasons I began this blog was the trip around the world that was going to take place in 2014. I am going to talk to you in a bit more detail today.
I plan to leave starting from July 2014 for several years:
- Depending on my departure date, I plan to stay two months in Germany to perfect my German, it also depends on “how long” it will take me to get my driver’s license :D.
- Then, I am going to the United States to travel and visit some national parks and major cities. The goal is to go hiking and do cultural visits.
- I will then settle in Whistler (Canada) where I will work at a ski resort from October until February.
- Traveling in Latin America with Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and a few other countries on the itinerary until September 2015. I plan to stay in a strategic city to learn Spanish for 2 months and do some sightseeing.
- Return to Paris for a few weeks then New Zealand in October to find a job but I only plan to stay until February and then leave for Asia, I will probably stop by Fiji, and/or New Caledonia, to do scuba diving.
- After this detour, Asia will be on the program without delay or time constraints. I plan to visit the Southeast Asian countries I haven’t been to: Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar.
- I will go up through China and then take the Trans-Siberian and/or the Trans-Mongolian to return to Russia and Europe.
The working periods are not exactly obligations because I earn enough money with my websites. The program is also variable but the main thing is 1 year in the Americas and the other year in Oceania-Asia.
The objectives of these trips are:
- To learn Spanish and possibly another language as well.
- To live in English-speaking, Hispanic, and Asian countries.
“Just traveling” does not interest me, living in a country will allow me to immerse myself in the culture and the people. It is also an opportunity to open one’s mind and have local experiences.
The purpose of this article is a guideline for my next trip around the world and it helps me stay motivated to continue writing and sharing my advice and experiences.
