There are many things to do and see in New York, the city is even called “the city that never sleeps.” The “Big Apple” is an exciting destination where it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the pace of life of pedestrians and cars. Aside from everything the city has to offer to keep you active; New York is also full of symbols and history.

&nbsp ;

A: Alicia Keys, this very famous singer was born and raised in Manhattan. Alicia and Jay-Z are the singers of the incredible hit “Empire State of Mind,” a song dedicated to the city of New York.

&nbsp ;

B: Broadway, more precisely its theater, which is considered the most popular theater in the English-speaking world; with legendary productions like “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Mary Poppins,” and “The Sound of Music and Cats.” This theater is one of the city’s most popular attractions.

C : Central Park, This public park has become very famous thanks to the many film shoots regularly done there. Central Park appears in practically all movies, music videos, and TV shows filmed in New York.

D : Doughnuts, they hold an important place in New York. The stereotype of American police officers eating doughnuts did not come out of nowhere!

E : Empire State Building, was named one of the seven wonders of the modern world. This building has become one of the symbols of New York and has appeared in many classics such as “King Kong“, “Independence Day“, and “Sleepless in Seattle“. F : Fashion, New York Fashion Week is the most exciting event of the year for fashion fans. Twice a year (in February and September), many very famous designers and stylists gather around Bryant Park to present their new collections.

G : Guggenheim Museum, is an Art museum, a teaching center, and an exhibition platform. It is dedicated to showcasing the outstanding work of the 20^th century. This incredible museum is a treat for all visitors, whether you are art lovers or not.

H : Hot Dog, after visiting New York, the thing that will most remind you of your stay is indeed the hot dog. For only 2 dollars, you can enjoy a hot dog with your favorite toppings. I : I love NY, The “I love NY” T-shirts are very popular worldwide.

J : JFK airport, This international airport is located in Queens and is the twelfth busiest airport in the world. In 1964, the Beatles arrived at this airport to hold their first American press conference.

K : Knicks, is the name of the New York basketball team; the team is one of the best in the world in the famous NBA league. L : Liberty, the Statue of Liberty, is the main symbol of New York, representing the Roman goddess of freedom. It was gifted to the United States by France in 1876 to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. Liberty Island is therefore the most visited attraction in the city.

M : Manhattan, this overcrowded and dynamic neighborhood is filled with legendary sites to visit such as Times Square, Central Park, Wall Street, and the Brooklyn Bridge.

N : New York Times, has been published since 1851. This American newspaper is known worldwide and has won the famous Pulitzer Prize 104 times! O : Opera, the Metropolitan is a must-see attraction! It is the largest classical music organization in America where nearly 220 performances are held each year. Many artists come to perform, such as Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti who regularly put on shows there.

P : Public library, the New York Public Library is a must-visit place even if you are not a book lover; this library is one of the largest libraries in the United States and the largest research library in the world.

Q : Queens, is one of the 5 boroughs of New York. Queens Borough is located on the west coast of Long Island and is known as the heart of Jazz music in America. Prestigious artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, and of course Louis Armstrong, all come from this neighborhood. R : Rockefeller Center, every winter New Yorkers take a spin on the ice rink located in front of Rockefeller Center. If you want to visit NYC in summer, check out the observation deck above the GE building, you will then be amazed by the magnificent panoramic view of the Empire State Building and Central Park.

S : Sex and the City, this very famous American series was filmed exclusively in New York. It is very easy for a fan of the series to discover all the places filmed in the show.

T : Times Square, this huge street and its giant advertising billboards have become a must-visit place in New York. U : Upper East Side, If you have never watched “Gossip Girl” in your life, the chances that you have heard of the Upper East Side are slim. It is one of the richest areas in the United States and has one of the highest prices per square meter for housing nationwide!

V : Vanilla Sky, is an American thriller that was filmed in New York. The main actors are Tom Cruise and Penélope Cruz.

W : Wall Street, is New York’s financial district. One of the reasons this place is so well known is thanks to the many film shoots, such as “Money never sleeps.” X : X-mas, If you want to spend a bright Christmas, New York is your destination! The city is very bright during the Christmas holidays, with a huge tree in the city center and gift shops on every street corner. Y : Yankees, this professional baseball team is based in the Bronx borough of New York. Joe DiMaggio is one of the most talented baseball players in the world. He was also very famous due to his marriage to Marilyn Monroe.
